1985
Founded:

VR Industries was established with a commitment to delivering high-quality manufacturing services, laying the foundation for future growth and innovation in electronic contract manufacturing.

1990s
Building Reputation:

Throughout the 1990s, VR Industries became known for its reliability and excellence in manufacturing, building a strong reputation in the local community as a trusted partner for quality production.

1996
ISO 9001 Certification:

In 1996, VR Industries became the first contract manufacturer in Rhode Island to achieve ISO 9001 certification, demonstrating our dedication to quality management and continuous improvement.

1998
Facility Expansion:

VR moved into a state-of-the-art 35,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility to meet increasing demand. This expansion enhanced our production capabilities with redundant Surface Mount Assembly (SMA) lines and automated machinery to produce circuit boards, box builds, and other electronic sub-assemblies.

2000s
Regional Expansion:

By the early 2000s, VR Industries had solidified its position as a premier contract manufacturer in New England, serving customers across the region with unmatched quality and service.

2010s
OEM Market Growth:

During this decade, we expanded into larger Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) markets, broadening our capabilities to better serve an increasingly diverse clientele while maintaining our partnership-oriented approach.

2011
ISO 13485 Certification:

VR Industries obtained ISO 13485 certification, expanding into the medical device market and reinforcing our commitment to high-quality standards for regulated industries, supporting patient monitoring, medication delivery, and process automation.

2020s
Investment in Innovation:

VR invested in integrated IT systems, manufacturing automation, and talented professionals to support our expanding customer base, continuing our legacy of innovation and quality while implementing our Customer Innovation Center (CIC) for collaborative product development.
